In 2005, we approached Viking Ventures with an ambitious designer plan but a modest budget.
From land acquisition through house completion, to minor callbacks and subsequent enhancements, Mike and Hartley embraced the project, offered affordable alternatives and solutions where necessary, and ensured project finalization on schedule and to our complete satisfaction.
The fine carpentry work has exceeded expectation and challenging requirements, such as the vaulted great room ceiling, were undertaken with ease. We love the beautiful kitchen fireplace constructed from locally quarried stone. Whether wood or tile, the floors are immaculate.
All Viking staff members, and particularly Millie and Willie, have been extremely helpful and responsive.
We live in Bermuda and it was not possible to be onsite during our dream home's construction. Accordingly we could not be present for many of the ongoing "detail" decisions. Millies's professional insight and taste, and her willingness to research matters and email, has greatly contributed to the comfort that we now enjoy while on vacation, and that we eagerly anticipate in retirement."

In 2003 we purchase a plot of land in Harbourville over looking the Bay of Fundy. We had a dream to one day build a home in Canada, as I was originally from Canada but living in the UK.
So when looking for a builder for our home it was rather scary and daunting. On one of our many visits to Nova Scotia we looked at properties that Viking Ventures, among others, had built in the area. We were impressed with the quality and design that they offered at Viking.
So there our story begins. After many hours Tia and I came up with a design, which over the next twelve months and many e-mails back and forth to the Viking team the plan was finalised. We shook hands and parted with the deposit cheque August 2006, and off back to the UK we went. We were amazed how quickly the house took shape. Our next visit was February 2007. To choose kitchen, bathrooms, flooring etc. and were delighted with what we saw. Our next planned trip to Canada was July 2007 to take possession of our new home.
We could not have been happier. The quality of build, finish and attention to detail was first class. We would have no worries in recommending Viking Ventures to anyone wishing to build a home, even long distance as we did. Nothing was ever too much trouble and their communication with us was perfect.

We have purchased two homes from Viking Ventures. Our first was in 1991 when we were first moved to the Valley. Being a Military family it is sometimes hard to move to new places and find people willing to help and go the extra mile. Viking was a start-up company and we purchased a very nice Cape Cod spec home. We were quite pleased with the construction. When we returned here in 2005 we immediately contacted Mike and Millie and we're well received, just like catching up with old friends. Unfortunately due to a short posting notice we purchased a home and moved in. Finding ourselves cramped and uncomfortable, we again contacted Mike. He and his team took the time to discuss all of our needs and modified some plans to fit our family. This facilitated us getting a custom built home for the same price as an off the shelf one. We are quite happy in our new Viking Ventures home and have had no problems. The follow-up by Viking has always been timely and professional. We are especially pleased with the excellent finishes, custom built kitchens and cabinets that Viking has become well known for.
